The figure is conte on a thick Fabriano Ingres paper. If you call me maestro I'll probably be so self conscious that I will never draw well again, but thanks for the thought.

Sorry it has taken me a bit to respond to your comment on my blog. I studied the DuMond palette with John P Osborne at the RAI in NJ. Osborne's principle teachers were Alban Albert and Arthur Maynard, both of who studied under Frank Vincent DuMond. The DuMond palette is wonderful, no? :) Just love it.
